Sonali Chopra

Executive Director - Patient Advocacy Relations Genentech

Sonali Chopra is the Executive Director of Patient Advocacy Relations at Genentech, where she leads a team dedicated to integrating patient perspectives into the organization. Her work involves partnering with patient advocates, caregivers, and thought leaders to deeply understand the community’s experiences and needs.
With 15 years at Genentech, Sonali has held various leadership roles, significantly expanding the team’s focus to include regional groups and community organizations. She is a proud contributor to Genentech’s health equity efforts, prioritizing marginalized and underserved communities.

Before Genentech, Sonali worked in healthcare reimbursement and access at Bayer HealthCare and served as a healthcare consultant. Notably, she led initiatives with the nonprofit Lesotho-Boston Health Alliance, rebuilding hospital structures in Lesotho, Africa.

A 2023 delegate of Leadership California, Sonali holds an MBA and MPH from Boston University and a BS from UC Berkeley. She resides in San Francisco with her family.
