Welcome to the Measuring Patient Engagement Summit!
Build a Standardized Framework to Measure the Value of Patient Engagement in a Unified Way and Ensure that Patient Engagement Remains a Key Driver for Success in Drug Development
Patient engagement became increasingly embedded in the drug development process, which was driven by both internal and external stakeholders. Externally, progressively aware and proactive patients were demanding more involvement in decisions involving their treatment, and regulatory pressures from global regulatory agencies were mounting. Internally, drug developers themselves not only recognized that patient engagement is ‘the right thing to do’, but that it drove success throughout the drug development process. While transformative progress has been made in engaging patients throughout the pharma value chain, there is work to be done when it comes to measuring, assessing, and systematically reporting these efforts to internal and external stakeholders.
Dedicated to measuring the success of patient engagement throughout the drug development lifecycle, the inaugural Measuring Patient Engagement Summit served as a pivotal platform to collectively build a standardized framework to measure the value of patient engagement and ensure that patient engagement remains a key driver for success in drug development.
